Postponement of B.Tech S.7 (Suppl.) Examinations scheduled on 14th & 18th June, 2019 - RegThe revaluation results of B.Tech S.7, December 2018 is yet to be published and only on publishing the same, the supplementary examination registration can be opened. Hence it is notified for the information of all concerned that B.Tech S.7 (Suppl.) Examinations scheduled on 14th & 18th June, 2019 have been postponed, the revised dates being 22nd June, AN & 3rd July, AN, 2019 respectively.

COMPREHENSIVE EXAM INSTRUCTION
B.Tech S6 COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION (OBJECTIVE TYPE)
Instructions to Students
- Students should enter the examination hall and be seated 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam. Filling up the Attendance sheet and facing page of the answer sheet, barcode fixing etc. should be completed before commencement of the exam.
- Immediately after commencement of the examination please check that the Question paper booklet supplied to you does not have any unprinted or torn or missing pages or items etc. If so, get it replaced by a complete question paper.
- 2 barcodes are to be pasted 0n the space provided in the Answer sheet.
- Use blue/black ball point pen only to darken the squares/circles.
- Do not fold or mutilate or damage or put any extraneous marking in the Answer Sheet.
- Do not write anything other than the specific items of information asked for, on the answer sheet.
- Rough worksheets/Tables/Charts will not be permitted/provided to the candidates; the rough work can be done on the question paper itself.
- Calculators or any other calculating devices not permitted.
- Do not write anything on the reverse of the answer sheet other than the total number of questions attended in numerals and words.
- Correcting fluids / erasers should not be used. Answers once marked will be final.
- Each question carries one mark. No negative marks for wrong answers.
- Total number of questions are 50 and the duration of exam is: 60 minutes.
- Each question will be followed by 4 possible answers - of which only ONE is correct. If one thinks that there is more than one correct response, then choose the best one.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct.
- No candidate is permitted to leave the Exam Hall before the end of examination.
- The candidates are permitted to take Question booklet issued to them after conclusion of the examination.

NEW NOTIFICATION(11/6/2019}
Its observed that certain students couldn't register for supplementary examinations of 1st and 2nd semester courses till now.Those who couldn't register for supplementary exams shall approach College office and pay the required fee.
College can do registration for students. Registration will be opened in College logins upto 13th June, Thursday, 12 noon.
It should be noted that supplementary registration to common courses of odd (S1) and even (S2) semesters (such as PH100, CY100, BE110 etc.) should be registered under B.Tech S2 (R,S) Exam May 2019 - irrespective of which semester the student had undergone the regular course.
Registration to S1 specific courses (such as MA101 - Calculus, BE103 - Introduction to Sustainable engineering etc.) will be opened later.

KTU S4 SUPPLEMENTARY REGISTRATION OPENED

It is hereby informed that supplementary registration to B.Tech S4 (R,S) Exam May 2019 is open now. Students can register through their login from 27.05.2019, Monday to 28.05.2019, Tuesday. Colleges can submit the request and make fee payment on or before 30.05.2019, Thursday. There are courses common to various semesters in B.Tech programme. A student can register for the course in an exam corresponding to the semester in which he/she studied that course in regular semester. As an example students study HS200 - Business Economics in S3 and S4. A student who studied the said course in S4 only can register this course and write exam as supplementary in B.Tech S4 (R,S) Exam May 2019. Those who studied this course in 3rd semester can register and write supplementary exam in B.Tech S3 (S) Exam May 2019. Registration to this exam will be opened later only.

Norms for Inter College Transfer
(B.Tech/B.Arch)
1. The following Category of students are not eligible for intercollege transfer
a. Govt.of India Nominee
b. Management Quota in Aided Colleges
c. Any other category which are ineligible as per the conditions for admission prescribed by Govt.of Kerala/ Govt.of India.
2. Inter college transfer shall be applicable only for regular B.Tech students.
3. Inter college transfer shall be permitted before the commencement of the Third semester and Fifth semester.
4. Inter college transfer shall be effected within the sanctioned strength of the college.
5. The Transfer shall be permitted
(i) Between Govt. / Govt. Aided Colleges.
(ii) Govt. and Govt. Aided colleges to self-financing colleges.
(iii) Between Self- financing Colleges. (Including Govt. controlled)
6. Notification inviting application for Inter College Transfer will be issued by the University during the Second semester/Fourth semester.
7. The candidate should fulfil the academic eligibility requirement for the promotion to the Third Semester/Fifth semester.
8. If the numbers of applicants are more than the seats available, the admission may be based on the GPA obtained in the First semester (for ICT to S3)/CGPA up to Third semester (for ICT to S5). Ties will be broken by the marks obtained in for Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry taken in that order.
9. The students will have only one option of the college for transfer.
10. The request for the transfer shall be submitted to the college in which the transfer is sought with the recommendation of the Principal of the college in which the student is currently studying.
11. The selected candidates shall remit a fee of Rs 3000/- (No fee for SC/ST students) within the stipulated date to KTU while joining in the new college.
12. The college transfer once approved by the receiving college will be final and binding on the applicant. No student will be permitted, under any circumstances, to refuse the change of college once offered.
13. A student who has already availed inter college transfer in S 3 will not be permitted college transfer in S 5.
Procedure for the College Transfer
(Student seeks a transfer from College A to College B)
Step 1 : Submit a request for transfer to the Principal where he/she is presently studying (College A)
Step 2 : The principal of college A may or may not recommend the transfer. Once recommended, the recommendation cannot be reversed and hence the Principal of college A has to relieve the student, if the student gets the transfer to college B.
Step 3: The Principal of college B shall publish the number of students that can be admitted based on the availability of vacant seats and based on the norms published by the University.
Step 4: Principal A relieves the student if he/she is selected by college B with necessary entries in the KTU portal.
Step 5: Principal B admits the student in College B with necessary entries in the KTU portal.
Step 6: Student remits the fee to the University
