Apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship

This scholarship scheme is for students doing Technical and Professional courses at graduation and post-graduation level.

ELIGIBILITY:

FRESH:
1. All Muslim and Christian students are eligible for this scholarship.
2. Students should have not less than 50% marks at Higher Secondary/Graduation level.
3. A Scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/ stipend/ financial assistance for pursuing the course.
4. The annual family income of the beneficiary /parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh per annum from all sources.


RENEWAL:
1. The students who received scholarship in the previous years. 
2. Students who have successfully completed the previous year examination with 50% or above marks. 
3. An applicant for the Scholarship under this scheme shall not avail any other scholarship/ stipend for pursuing the course. 
4. The annual family income of the beneficiary /parent or guardian of the beneficiary shall not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh per annum from all sources.

How to Apply ?

Step 1. Register your online application as a “New User” on or before 30-09-2018.
Step 2. Upload all supporting documents in Scholarship website.
Step 3. Submit your application print out with all uploaded documents to the college office for   verification.

B.Tech S4 (Regular & Supplementary) Examinations April 2018 - Publication of Result - Notified-Reg It is hereby notified that the result of B.Tech Fourth Semester (Regular and Supplementary examinations conducted during April 2018 is published herewith. The detailed results are available in the KTU website www.ktu.edu.in. Students can apply for answerscript copy and revaluation, by registering in the KTU web portal from 30-08-2018, Thursday to 04-09-2018, Tuesday. The Fee for answer script copy is Rs.500/- per answer script and for revaluation, Rs. 600/- per answer script. The Colleges have to submit the applications and payment to the university on or before 06-09-2018, Thursday

Institution Reopening Dates Extended After Onam Vaccation

Institutions will reopen on 3rd September 2018 after Onam vacation In order to ensure participation of students, faculty and staff of the institutions affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in the rehabilitation works of flood affected areas, the affiliated institutions will reopen on 3rd September 2018 after the Onam vacation. The Government have entrusted the Director of Technical Education to coordinate the rehabilitation works. The students and faculty have to register in the web portal of the Department of Technical Education for participating in the rehabilitation works.

Register for Rehabilitation Project | Work and Accrue Up to 25% Grace mark

Govt. of Kerala - Department of Higher Education -Rehabilitation Project Registration for Students and Alumni

Following are the formalities for engineering polytechnic college students to be registered in the Directorate of Technical Education for participating in the reconstruction of the flood-affected areas. Students should contact the disaster relief cell coordinator in their institutions to participate in the disaster management activities.

The former pupils of the Engineering Polytechnic College will also be involved in the activities
The Department of Electronics and Production Technology Lecturer Ajitha was appointed as Co-ordinator of Disaster Management Activities at Kalamassery Polytechnic. The Directorate of Technical Education informed that grace marks will be eligible for registered students

Filling form to get gracemark is made mandatory. So all students are hereby requested to fill the form immediately if you havent filled yet.

1. The volunteers are assigned to work in affected Districts. The work assignment is communicated to the registered email id. The work assignment list is available here for reference.

2. As directed in the mail sent to the registered email id, the volunteers shall contact the District NSS coordinator through the NSS program officer of the Institution in which the volunteer is studying. The contact details of the District NSS coordinators are here for reference.

3.Awarding grace marks:  The format for duty certificate is available here ( http://www.dtekerala.gov.in/files/Flood/Work_Cert.pdf ) for reference. In this certificate, the ‘concerned NSS camp officer’ is the Officer in charge of the camp from which the volunteer is involving in the rehabilitation project.

5. The faculty/staff are also assigned to coordinate works in affected Districts. The work assignment is communicated to the registered email id. The list is available here for reference. ( http://www.dtekerala.gov.in/files/Flood/Faculty.pdf )

KTU Awards Grace Marks to students who Participated in Rehabilitation Activities of Flood Affected Areas

APJAKTU - Encouraging Participation in Rehabilitation Activities of Flood Affected Areas - Award of Grace Marks to students - sanctioned - orders issued


Read:- Minutes of the first meeting of the Syndicate held on 21-08-2018.

ORDER

As per the Government decision to involve the Students of the Engineering Institutions of the State in various rehabilitation activities of the flood affected areas, the Principal Secretary Higher Education Department has directed the University to formulate a policy for awarding motivational incentives. Accordingly, the University has formulated a proposal and placed it before the Syndicate for consideration. The Syndicate has approved the proposal of awarding Grace Marks to the eligible students of the affiliated institutions of the University who are actively involving in various rehabilitation activities of flood affected areas by treating this as participating in state level community outreach activities representing the University. It was decided to award the grace marks to all eligible students admitted during the AY 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 subject to the following guidelines. 


1. Only bona-fide, regular candidates are eligible for the award of Grace Marks. 

2. The Marks shall be awarded for the end semester examinations conducted by the University. 

3. The Marks that can be awarded to the candidate is 25% of the marks scored by the candidate in each course. 

4. The maximum marks that can be awarded to a student for a course for all activities put together shall not exceed 10% of the maximum marks prescribed for the course. 

5. Transfer of marks from one paper to another shall not be permitted. Fractions of marks if any, while computing shall be discarded. 

6. Transfer of Marks from one semester to another semester shall not be permitted. 

7. The Marks shall be awarded for all theory papers/courses/subjects for which the University conducts End Semester Examination. 

8. The Grace Marks shall not be awarded to a student for Practical/ Lab/ Viva Voce/ internal assessment/ Seminar etc even though she/he fails for the same. 

9. This Grace Marks shall be awarded for the regular and supplementary examinations to be conducted during the end of current semester (August to December 2018). Grace Marks shall not be awarded for subsequent examinations. 

10. The request for Grace Marks shall be submitted to the Controller of Examinations through the principal along with all relevant documents, within the time limit prescribed by the University. The request for Grace Marks received after the time limit shall not be entertained on any account. 

11. This is only a one-time incentive and shall not be quoted as precedence under any circumstances.


Based on the decision of the Syndicate, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor in excercise of powers conferred under section 14 (5) of the APJ Abdul Kalam Techological University Act 2015, has issued orders to award Grace marks to all the eligible students who actively involve in various rehabilitation activities of flood affected areas suject to the guidelines as approved by the Syndicate. 
Orders are issued accordingly
