The A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) relaxed the norms of the controversial year-out system for BTech courses after students’ protest forced the government to intervene in the issue. As per the new norms, announced on Wednesday, the credit system for considering year-out has been relaxed from three to two levels. The minimum credits will be insisted only in Semester 5 and 7.
